ENCODE
Encode is a series of works which culminated in a solo exhibition at Sabbia Gallery, Sydney, 2 – 26 November 2011.
This series focuses on technology and culture as psychological ‘environments’, which permeate individual experience and inevitably become inseparable from the self.
This series is made up of six series of works, which layer of digital imagery into and onto the glass. The artwork imagery has been translated into computer code and then re-layered back into the work.
A quiet, contemplative palette has been employed, creating a suggestive atmosphere in which these ideas can be visually considered.
